BOARD MEMBER NEWS

It is with great sadness that we report the passing in January of our much respected and beloved Vice President Norman Powell. Norm was an important member of LCC’s Board of Directors; his keen insight and contributions were essential to helping carry on the LCC mission. His usual presence at LCC dinner meetings and special events will be missed; Norm’s friendly and optimistic outlook cheered everyone he encountered.  In tribute to Norm, Advisor Bob Borthwick has kindly volunteered to fulfill the remainder of his term as Vice President.

SAVE THE DATE - April 22nd - EARTH DAY-In Person Groups Meeting- Details Coming

This past September, LCC hosted a joint environmental groups dinner meeting that was a big success. Seven groups presented their mission statements and described current projects and issues they wanted to make others aware of. We have been offered the use of the Rivian Theater venue in downtown Laguna Beach and are planning to present groups focused on protecting the ocean, blue belt issues, recreational use of the environment, and climate change. Important information will be shared, and new connections made. Stay tuned, this will be fun!

Warmest Regards,
