About The Event
Eric Jessen is a celebrity in the history of art in Laguna Beach and for his contributions to the environmental world in open space acquisition for parkland. He has twisted arms and really written his own platform negotiating more parkland than had been conceivable in this former developer-driven county. Eric will show an on-site video from the parks and give you some details that only he could know. His devotion to the Orange County Parks is only matched by his devotion to surrounding Laguna Beach with the best beaches, hillsides and trails that web from the ridgelines to the most beautiful canyons in the County.
As a museum environmental consultant, his specialty is detecting locations where California plein-air and Italian Renaissance canvasses were painted. It’s already known that he has traveled the ‘Hi-Sierra’ to find the sites of certain painters who had once lived in Laguna and enjoyed the comfort of his cabin in the hills of Lone Pine. Now you will hear how some of these topics have blended into a beautiful history here in Laguna Beach.
